Events: Virtual Mini-Class held during the Academic Week of the Biological Sciences Course at UNISUL

On Tuesday night (29), I taught a mini-class referring to mapping for biologists, in the annual event of the Biological Sciences course, from the University of the South of Santa Catarina (UNISUL), being realized by the Academic Center of Biology (CABIO).

The event, which is taking place during this week, is in virtual mode, due to the precautions to COVID 19, with various subjects being addressed each night.

In the mini-class, in which I had the pleasure of presenting, we approach basic terms about mapping, databases, work with images and tables, in addition to preparing a final map, all in the QGIS program. At the end of the day, a dialogue was held to answer questions, in addition to talking about the current job market.

I reiterate my thanks to the CABIO and the Biological Sciences Course for the invitation, with the hope that the participants have absorbed something, from the little of what I know about map development at QGIS.

Thank you :D
